| The following specifications outline
the standard Presto Change-O high-capacity electronic enclosure. Additional options, custom
work, and/or branding are easily accommodated, but will increase the cost of your Presto Change-O.

| Physical: |
| o Construction is all 18GA steel,
pop-rivet assembly. All parts are clear zinc plated prior to finishing. |
| o Overall size varies to match customer
requirements. Height range is from 6U (10.5") to 22U (38.5"). Widths are either
EIA standard rack widths of 19" or 23". Depth as specified but typically varies
from 12" to 24". |
| o Weight is approximately 3~6 pounds
per rack unit empty (no power supplies, fan trays, filter, backplane, or blades) depending
upon depth. |
| o Agency compliance goals. The customer
is responsible for agency testing, but compliance with these standards were considered when
designing Presto Change-O: FCC class B, UL-1459, and NEBS Level 3 Zone 4. |
| o Removable components such as blades,
fan trays, filters, and power supplies plug in and are secured to the front of the enclosure
using smooth thumbscrews requiring tool removal. |
| o Ejectors
are supplied on blades only. They are E-M Designs' flat style with open/closed detent action.
Long and short versions are available. |
| o Backplane assembles into enclosure
from the rear and secured with perimeter screws. High stress designs due to large pin-count
blades require special handling - see Backplane Stiffener below. |
| Standard Options: |
| o Painted finish, either wet or
powder coated. Color and texture as specified. All exterior surfaces painted, internal surfaces
as plated with minimal over spray. |
| o Silk-screened or adhesive-backed labels with
legends or logo. Photo-ready artwork with color specifications supplied by customer. |
| o Carry handles. Recommended for
enclosures over 50Lbs or 11U (19.25") high. |
| o Card guide style can be either integral formed
sheetmetal or assembled card guides of your choice. |
| o Vent style, size, and locations.
Choose from a wide variety of approved vent opening shapes and patterns (restrictions such
as safety or thermal will limit choices). |
| o Air filter can be included or
not. Standard is washable ½" thick expanded aluminum. Alternates are available
but can affect cooling performance. |
| o Power supply choices. We can
supply semi-custom or fully custom AC-DC power supplies or supply requirements to your own
vendor. |
| o One or two fan trays. E-M Designs
will recommend based upon required cooling capacity. |
| Fan Tray design: |
| o Fan Control PCB for alarm, speed
control and power distribution and filtering with blind mate connector. Signals routed to
connector for monitoring and control by the system CPU supplied by customer. |
| o Fan thickness is 1" or 1.5".
Selection of normal speed or high speed determines fan thickness. E-M Designs will recommend
based upon required cooling capacity. |

Definitions:
|
| Blade: Assembly of PCB, Stiffener,
and Ejectors that plugs into the card cage section of the enclosure. The PCB is supplied by
and assembled onto the stiffener by the customer. |
| U or Rack Unit: Distance equal to 1.75"
per EIA. |
| Card Keying: Device by which a blade
can be plugged into only specific slots. This can be a mechanical device mounted to the backplane
or by special request onto the enclosure itself. |
